1. Who we are
Fairline Research (“Fairline”, “we”, “us”) publishes independent valuation research on Vietnamese listed companies. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at support@fairlineresearch.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us:
- Email address — when you subscribe to the newsletter or create an account.
- Messages — when you contact us. The contact form opens your own email app, so we receive what you choose to send, including your name and email address.
- Account and billing details — your name, plan and payment history. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically: like any website, our hosting provider receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps it in server logs.
The valuation calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us.
3. How we use it
- To deliver the newsletter, reports and the subscription you signed up for;
- To answer support requests and other messages;
- To process payments, prevent fraud and keep records required by law;
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
We process your data with your consent, to perform our agreement with you, or to meet legal obligations. Where we rely on consent — for example, the newsletter — you can withdraw it at any time; every email includes an unsubscribe link.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:
- service providers who help us run the Services — email delivery, payment processing and website hosting — under contracts that limit how they can use it;
- authorities, where the law requires us to;
- a buyer or successor, if Fairline is merged or sold, who must continue to protect your data under this policy.
5. Cookies and third parties
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when you visit; see Google’s privacy policy for how it handles that data. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active, and billing records for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for up to two years so we can follow up on earlier requests. After that, we delete or anonymize the data.
7. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your data, or restrict how we use it;
- withdraw your consent, without affecting processing that already took place.
To make a request, email support@fairlineresearch.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time the law requires.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and limited internal access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
9. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Vietnam. When that happens, we take the steps required by Vietnamese law to keep your data protected.
10. Children
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes and contact
